Members of the public may file a complaint about judicial misconduct either by mailing in a complaint form (available for download) below or or by filling in a complaint form on this website at this link.
Once an individual files a complaint, it is forwarded to the Commission's Director for review.
The Commission’s Director will review the complaint. If the complaint states a claim of judicial misconduct, the Director may conduct a preliminary investigation into the allegations. This investigation often includes writing to or speaking with the judge about the misconduct, interviewing witnesses to the misconduct, and gathering other documentary evidence.
The Director and Commission staff will periodically update complainants regarding the status of the case. However, investigating allegations of misconduct can take weeks or even months to complete.
